From 1 February 2021, it will be possible to experience the Rezzonico family palace in livestream exclusively with city guide Susanne Kunz. The authorised city guide offers this special tour in collaboration with the Municipal Museums of Venice MUVE.
The tour in Livestream leads into the representative rooms of the palace of the important noble family: The largest ballroom in Venice in the Piano Nobile served to celebrate the wealth of the family. The most famous artists of the time worked for the Rezzonicos, such as Giambattista Tiepolo, who was famous throughout Europe.
The charming boudoir or the small, fine bedchamber on the second floor, as well as the gossamer porcelain, provide an insight into the everyday life of Venice’s upper class in the 18th century. Atmospherically complemented by the pictures painted by the painter Pietro Longhi, who nevertheless managed to capture the spirit of his century in an era without cameras.
As the tours are in Livestream, dialogue with the guide is possible, as with any conventional tour.
